Zac Efron, known for his role in High School Musical, was rushed to the hospital after an accident during his vacation in Ibiza. The incident reportedly happened in a pool where The Greatest Showman star was cooling off in the hot weather.

TMZ was the first to report the incident, stating that ‘two people working at the villa found him in the pool and pulled him out of the water.’ They also mentioned that it occurred early Saturday morning. Later, the actor’s representative confirmed the news, stating that Efron was hospitalized as a precautionary measure to rule out any health issues after he suffered a ‘minor swimming incident.’

So far, neither Zac nor his representatives have revealed what happened that afternoon. However, it’s been announced that he’ll return to Miami on Monday, where he’ll stay under medical supervision for a few days. Naturally, his fans were very worried, so Efron took to social media to update everyone on his health. On Instagram, he shared a photo of himself lifting weights near the beach.

To thank his followers for their concern and well wishes, he added a few brief words to the post: “Happy and healthy – thanks for the well wishes,” he wrote.

Everything Is Going Well

This isn’t the first accident Zac Efron has had, nor the first scare he’s given his fans. In 2013, at just 25 years old, Zac shattered his jaw after slipping at home while running and hitting his chin on a granite fountain.
