Just like the tattoos etched on Young Miko‘s skin, she has made marked the music scene, particularly in the urban genre. Despite her young age, she has already shared the stage with renowned artists like Bad Bunny and Karol G, and has collaborated with well-known artists such as FeidNicki NicoleCazzu, and many others.

Not to mention that she was invited to perform at Coachella, one of the most renowned festivals globally. Her appearance at the 2024 edition highlighted her enduring influence, which is as deep-rooted as her tattoos.

If you are a fan of Baby Miko, this fact will probably not surprise you, but it’s well-known that she has a deep passion for art, particularly drawing. The Puerto Rican trapper revealed to Billboard that her family recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue visual art. She followed their advice and attended a university in Puerto Rico to study it.

However, along the way, she crossed paths with graffiti and tattoo artists. “I ended up holding a tattoo machine in my hand and started practicing on willing volunteers,” she shared. She also developed a strong interest in Japanese-style tattooing and Greek mythology. Here are some tattoos that Miko has allegedly done.

Young Miko Tattoos

Now let’s talk about Baby Miko’s tattoos and get into the details. It’s worth mentioning that Miko has stated that all of her tattoos have meaning. Another noteworthy detail that’s quite inspiring is that, because she didn’t have the financial means to pursue her musical ambitions, getting tattoos actually helped her achieve her dream. The money she earned from tattooing allowed her to pay for recording sessions, microphones, and other necessities.

Lastly, it’s worth noting that Miko’s arms are covered in tattoos, mostly in solid black ink, with many of them inspired by Japanese culture, which she deeply admires.

First Tattoo

Interestingly, the singer has shared that she first tried her hand at tattooing on her own body, specifically on her feet. What was it? Well, as she describes it, it’s ‘like a spaceship.’ She adds the ‘like’ because it didn’t quite turn out the way she expected; she thought it would look ‘awesome,’ but it didn’t. Because of this, she advises aspiring tattoo artists not to practice on themselves. However, she also mentioned that now she looks back on it with nostalgia and even fondness.

Favorite Tattoo

In an interview on the Spanish program ‘El Hormiguero’, Miko revealed that her favorite tattoo is the temple that is on her arm. She explained that for her, getting a temple tattoo signifies the sacredness of family, representing home and the desire to protect it.

‘The Storm’

As mentioned earlier, her arms showcase predominantly Japanese artwork. “Here, it’s like a conflict unfolding. There’s a storm. A demon lurks in the background. Amidst all this chaos, you have the koi fish swimming peacefully. When I look at this, it reminds me that no matter how tough things get, I need to stay calm and focus on what truly matters,” she explained to ‘Un Nuevo Día’.

Additionally, on her arm, it’s known that she has a large Buddha tattoo, almost at shoulder height. Less noticeable, but also on her arm, toward the top, she has a ‘daruma’, a type of figurine that, depending on its color, can symbolize or attract certain things. Miko’s daruma has subtle red hues, which, she mentioned with a chuckle, are meant to bring good luck with money.

Back Tattoo

Perhaps the biggest tattoo on her body is the one on her back: a Chinese dragon. It took 12 hours to complete, with two tattoo artists working simultaneously. She also mentioned that the most painful part was near the ribs, but she remarked, “It might hurt today, but I’ll look cool forever”.

Swallow Bird

Miko has had several of her tattoos done by the same tattoo artist. Along with a phrase or word in Japanese on her neck, she also has a Swallow Bird tattooed there.

Fish, Heart, & Mischievous Cherub

Around September 2023, Miko got three tattoos in one go. Among them, there’s a golden fish with what looks like a bell tied around its body, inked on the back of her arm. Another one adorns her hand, depicting a cherub with horns and a devil’s tail. Lastly, there’s a metallic pink heart with two sparkles.

The New Ones

Some of the singer’s newer tattoos (although, considering how quickly she gets inked, they won’t be new for long) include three on her hand: two Japanese letters and a heart with a ‘sparkle’ inside. Additionally, on the upper part of her back, there’s a scorpion with an eye on its rear side.

What are your thoughts on her tattoos? Is there one that stands out to you as your favorite?
