To the surprise of some, Taylor Swift has now become the world’s richest female singer, surpassing Rihanna’s $1.4 billion fortune. At just 34, Swift’s net worth has reached $1.6 billion, according to Forbes on Monday.
Her Eras Tour, which spanned five continents with over 100 sold-out shows, became the first tour to gross around $1 billion, making it one of the most important tours in music history. Beyond the tour’s success, Swift also earns from her extensive music catalog and owns real estate in the U.S. valued at roughly $125 million.
Meanwhile, Rihanna, who held the title of the richest female musician since 2019, has built her fortune not just through music (her last album, Anti, came out in 2016) but also from her fashion and cosmetics brands, Savage X Fenty and Fenty Beauty.

Her cosmetics brand, Fenty Beauty, where she owns a 50% stake, generated $100 million in its first two months after launching in 2017. Now, according to Celebrity Net Worth, the brand is valued between $2 billion and $3 billion. Her lingerie line, Savage X Fenty, launched in 2018, and with her 30% ownership, is worth another $1 billion, according to the same source.
Even with these impressive numbers, neither tops rapper Jay-Z, who has amassed a fortune of $2.5 billion through his various business ventures and investments. His wife, Beyoncé, ranks as the fourth-richest artist, just behind Madonna. Together, their combined net worth is $3.1 billion.
After taking a break following her European shows, on October 18, the singer of hits like ‘Cruel Summer’ and ‘Shake It Off’ will kick off The Eras Tour once again. This time, she’s returning to the United States. After performing in Miami, New Orleans, and Indianapolis, she’ll wrap up her tour with final shows in Toronto and Vancouver.
