It’s been over four months since Karol G released her last song, ‘Si Antes te Hubiera Conocido,’ a merengue that quickly became one of the top songs of summer 2024. Karol knew exactly what she was doing when she put out this track—she wanted everyone dancing. And she nailed it!

Now, just a month after releasing a new version of ‘Vivo por Ella’ with Andrea Bocelli, Karol has announced a new collaboration, and it looks like another hit is on the way. The song, ‘No Me Cansaré,’ is with Sevdaliza, an artist who’s been making waves in 2024. And for good reason—she’s behind one of the year’s viral hits with Pabllo Vittar and Yseult.

Back in June, the three of them released ‘Alibi,‘ a fresh take on the classic ‘Rosa Que Linda Eres,’ and it quickly blew up on TikTok. The song was such a hit that in September they released a part 2 with Anitta. And at Rock in Rio in Rio de Janeiro, Karol G invited Sevdaliza, Pabllo Vittar, and Yseult to join her on stage for the song, making it one of the standout moments of the night. But who is Sevdaliza, and why has she caught Karol G’s eye?

Sevda Alizadeh, better known as Sevdaliza, is a 37-year-old artist who’s been making her mark in the music industry since 2015. That year, she released two EPs, The Suspended Kid and Children of Silk, with dreamy, soulful tracks about individuality, love, and disconnection. Since then, she’s steadily carved out her own space in the industry.

Born in Iran, Sevdaliza moved to the Netherlands when she was just five, later becoming a Dutch citizen. Her music crosses genres—from dance to urban, with Brazilian influences mixed in. As FADER points out, by the time she started making her own music at 24, she was already fluent in several languages—Farsi, Dutch, English, French, and Portuguese. This mix of languages and cultures comes through in her music, reflecting her rich life experiences.

While 2024 has brought her global recognition with ‘Alibi,’ Sevdaliza has been working with top artists for a while. She’s teamed up with Villano Antillano and Tokischa on ‘Ride Or Die, Pt. 2’ and Elyanna on Good Torture, showing off her versatility. Now, she’s joining forces with Karol G on ‘No Me Cansaré,’ blending their unique styles.

‘No Me Cansaré’

We’ve gotten a sneak peek of the song, thanks to the announcement, and it seems full of rhythm. The track has an urban vibe, and once again, we hear Karol G tapping into her romantic side.

“You let me shine. I feel free even though I’m yours. You clip my wings, but you let me fly. Remember me when you look at the moon. I was born to be an angel, I was born to be your baby. He loves me for who I am, doesn’t try to control me. I fly far away, but he keeps loving me,” sings the Colombian star in the verses we’ve heard so far.

They haven’t shared the release date yet, but we’re pretty sure it will drop before the end of October.
