The 2024 Paris Olympics, one of the most eagerly anticipated sporting events worldwide, are coming to a close, but there are still a few days of competition left. The closing ceremony is scheduled for August 11, 2024, marking the end of two weeks filled with intense competition and celebration of the Olympic spirit.
Athletes from around the globe have come together, competing in various disciplines and showcasing their talent, dedication, and effort. So far, the United States has performed exceptionally well, winning a total of 86 medals, including 24 gold, 31 silver, and 31 bronze.

The last day of the Olympics, August 11, 2024, is packed with exciting events and will end with the closing ceremony. Here are some highlights:
NBC will start airing highlights of the Paris Games at 2 p.m. EDT, followed by live coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony at 3 p.m. EDT on Sunday, Aug. 11. If you miss the live broadcast, don’t worry. NBC will re-air the closing ceremony later that same day at 7 p.m.
The ceremony will feature cultural performances, athlete parades, and the handover of the Olympic flag to Los Angeles, the host city for the 2028 Games.
