February 14th will not only be Valentine’s Day for millions of couples worldwide. That is the date marked by Karol G for the premiere of her new musical phase. At least, that is the hope of millions of followers of the Colombian singer worldwide who are eagerly awaiting her new song, «Contigo,» as the starting shot for everything that is to come.

The artist from Medellin will thus turn the page on one of the highlights of her musical career with Mañana Será Bonito (2023). An album that has allowed her to taste the fruits of success throughout 2023 and the first months of 2024, where she has even won her first Grammy Award.

An album that she will always cherish:

«Mañana Será Bonito became a movement to overcome oneself, to live, to enjoy even in dark moments, and to appreciate what one has while waiting for what one desires… it’s a balm for the soul ??‍???? and the greatest gift it leaves me is having been able to connect with so many people around the world, accompany them with my music, and have these songs represent a special moment in their lives. It has changed lives just as it has changed mine! ?????? Thanks to all the people who were part of this special project and thanks TO YOU for being part of these achievements! Thanks also to those who genuinely rejoice in how happy I feel! I love you all so much, and as I said, I promise to give EVERYTHING and more than I can, to give back all the love you give me! I love you!»KAROL G via Instagram

Now, living a personal and professional moment as sweet as ever, it’s time to embrace romance. Or at least, that’s how we dream «Contigo» will be. To whom will it be dedicated?

Karol G’s «Contigo» Official Announcement

If 2023 has been a year full of successes for Karol G, 2024 seems to be on the same path. The Colombian soloist, who recently received her first Grammy Award, has confirmed that on this upcoming February 14th, she will release her new song: «Contigo.»

The announcement has been kept secret by the artist, dropping small hints along the way. The first one took place a week ago on her official X profile (formerly Twitter): «I don’t want a life if it’s not WITH YOU,» tweeted the artist from Medellin, making it clear the title of her song, although at that time, no one imagined what was about to happen.

The thing is, a few days later, during a concert in Mexico City, the phrase became a banner as a message from a group of fans to the Colombian singer. Touched by the situation, she decided to drop the bomb.

«A couple of days ago, I quoted this phrase on my Twitter (X): ‘I don’t want a life if it’s not with you.’ Yesterday, my fans in Mexico City had a surprise for me. Starting from that phrase, they brought a giant sign that said: ‘We don’t want a life if it’s not with you.’ Without knowing that the phrase is part of my new single. The fact is, I was too moved, and I couldn’t wait to announce the news that this song will be released on Valentine’s Day, my birthday. Thanks to all the people who coordinated for this incredible detail and to my team for making it possible,» explained the artist.

And to make it official for all those who weren’t at her concert, Karol G has posted on her official social media profiles a promotional image of this imminent single along with the release date (February 14, 2024) and her image alongside DJ Tiësto.

It doesn’t take much to imagine that the soloist won’t be alone in the release of her new song, and the Dutch DJ will seek to make history again in the electronic and Latin urban genres.
