‘Lifetimes’ is Katy Perry’s most recent music video. As we previously reported on LOS40, the Californian singer had chosen Ibiza (Spain) to film the visuals for this song inspired by her daughter. However, authorities on the island are investigating why the artist filmed in a protected area without permission. This could turn out to be quite costly.

According to the EFE news agency, the Consellería de Medio Natural of the Balearic Government has opened an investigation to assess the environmental impact that the dunes of the islet of S’Espalmador might have suffered after the artist and her entire team filmed there without authorization.

The area where Katy Perry is seen sitting on the sand is part of the Parque Natural de ses Salines de Ibiza y Formentera, and according to local authorities, this area is marked with ropes, stakes, and signs indicating that entry is prohibited.

Now, the investigation will determine if there has been an environmental offense and whether there will be any fines for the filming crew or the artist, who did not have permission to be there and hadn’t even requested it.

As we previously mentioned, this is not the only infraction observed in the music video. In one of her motorcycle rides shown in the video, the Californian is seen without a helmet. Katy Perry also gets into house mode, becoming one of the attractions at those international nightclubs known for taking parties to the extreme.

The singer has spent a few days in Ibiza with Orlando Bloom, and they have spared no expense. They stayed at Six Senses Ibiza in Cala Xarraca, known for its rates exceeding 2,000 euros per night, and considered one of the top 50 hotels in the world.

Now we will have to wait and see if the filming of the music video becomes a headache for her. The artist has recently embarked on a new musical phase with the release of her new studio album, 143, from which she released two singles before its launch: ‘Women’s World’ and ‘Lifetimes.’
