For years, the resemblance between Rosalía and merengue singer Elvis Crespo has been a recurring meme on social media. In fact, the Catalan artist herself has shared posts highlighting the similarity with the American artist, showing that she has a great sense of humor.
Now, Crespo has spoken about his resemblance to the ‘NEW WOMAN’ singer. He did so during his 25th-anniversary concert for Suavemente, one of the most listened-to songs in his discography, which became a major hit in 1999.
The artist appeared on the show with completely green hair and, with a lot of humor, said the following: «Ladies and gentlemen, what do you think of my green hair? I’m tired of being compared to Rosalía, tired. Now I want to be compared to Karol G,» he said, prompting laughter from the audience.
Of course, the comments were filled with all kinds of responses. It seems that even with green hair, he still doesn’t resemble «la bichota.»

Without a doubt, the meme comparing Rosalía and Elvis Crespo has given us many great moments over the years, but as Elvis says, maybe it’s time to let it go. After all, we can’t keep laughing at the same joke for five years. Or can we?
