The Curious Relationship Between Lele Pons & A Latin Music Star

If you’re too young to remember the era before TikTok, there was a platform called Vine that caused a similar sensation. From that platform emerged Lele Pons, the well-known influencer, singer, and model from Venezuela.

Back in 2014, during Vine’s peak, Lele, whose real name is Eleonora Pons Maronese, joined the app and started creating comedy sketches just for fun. However, her videos became incredibly popular, which encouraged her to keep going. Also, many of her sketches featured her friend and fellow internet celebrity, Hannah Stocking.

Vine shut down in 2016, but that didn’t stop her from keeping up with her successful videos. Lele moved on to other platforms like YouTube (18 million followers), TikTok (25.3 million followers), and Instagram (53.3 million followers). As expected, given her success, the influencer has branched out into various fields such as acting, modeling, and entrepreneurship.

Additionally, since 2018, she has released several songs and has even performed at the Latin Grammy Awards, showcasing her single «Celoso.» In 2020, she started dating Puerto Rican singer Guaynaa, with whom she has worked on various projects. They got married in March 2023 in Miami. However, this isn’t the interesting relationship with a Latin music star we’re talking about in this article. 

Who Could That Mysterious Person Be? 

Even though Lele made her own way to fame through social media, she’s closely connected to one of the big names in Latin music. And guess what? He’s been a heartthrob for many Latina moms for years. If you hadn’t heard or already guessed, we’re talking about Chayanne. Yes, Lele happens to be the niece of the famous Puerto Rican singer. 

But here’s the twist: Chayanne isn’t her biological uncle; he’s her uncle by marriage. Her aunt, Marilia Maronese, who was once Miss Venezuela, tied the knot with the renowned singer back in 1992. Naturally, Chayanne showed up at his niece’s wedding, and they even danced to his classic hit «Tiempo de Vals.»
