We’re used to seeing characters with superpowers in series and movies all the time. Every year, several come out, featuring this characters from movies, TV, and comics. Nowadays, it’s tough to picture a world without them. However, they are usually portrayed as good, not evil. But what would happen if many people had superpowers?

In the series, superpowered individuals are recognized as heroes by the general public and work for the powerful corporation Vought International, which markets and monetizes them. They are presented as honorable, brave, and everything a superhero should be. However, outside of their heroic personas, most are arrogant, selfish, corrupt, and abusive.

The series is adapted from the comic of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. It focuses on two main groups: the Seven, Vought International’s primary superhero team, and The Boys, the central characters. The latter are vigilantes aiming to dismantle Vought and its corrupt superheroes, particularly their powerful leader, Homelander.

The series has received praise from both audiences and critics, and it’s already a big hit despite its rating. It explores various perspectives, like whether the characters’ powers are a benefit or a burden. It also offers a more realistic view of what might occur if ordinary people had super powers and the power that comes with them.
