Shakira is getting ready for her upcoming world tour, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, which will start in the United States on May 13, 2025, at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC. This will be her first tour in six years, following her El Dorado World Tour.
In recent interviews with GQ, Shakira shared some details about the tour. She said, “This is the most ambitious tour of my career, the biggest production I’ve ever had. Not because the audience is asking for it, but because I’ve earned it after so many years in the industry. […] I’m excited because I’ll be able to take the audience through the different stages of my artistic journey. It will be the longest show I’ve ever done, with the largest screen and everything bigger than you can imagine. More is more, and bigger is better!”
Here are my new 2025 North America dates. I’m so excited to share my best show yet with you. Thank you all for supporting and inspiring me to keep pushing myself. I can’t wait to celebrate with you in May! ❤️

Journalist Luis Magaña also shared some details in El Universal about Shakira’s shows, at least in Mexico City, though these are likely to apply to her other performances as well. Many artists have specific requests before, during, and after their concerts, so what could Shakira’s requests be?
According to the journalist and this source, Shakira has hired the same sound engineers as Taylor Swift! She’s also worked with the choreographer behind Beyoncé’s most recent performances. And if that wasn’t impressive enough, it’s rumored that she’s brought in the creative team behind Cirque du Soleil’s graphics, specifically the ones who designed the performance inspired by Michael Jackson’s music.
It’s estimated that around 200 people are involved in each show during the first phase of the tour. That means over 6,000 people will have been employed by the time the first 20 shows are finished.
As for Shakira’s requests, she asks for two rooms: one for hosting guests and another for makeup and wardrobe. There’s also a room near the stage for quick costume changes, which makes perfect sense. In addition, she requests two comfortable chairs, three tables, distilled water, two portable closets, and a steady room temperature of 22°C. She also travels with her nutritionist, massage therapist, vocal coach, and doctor.
