Shakira is one of the artists who always finds a way to surprise us. Not long after releasing her last album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, the Colombian star excited her fans with the news of a new song: ‘Soltera (Single)’. As the title suggests, Shakira is all about celebrating being single, embracing self-liberation, and living life without holding back. “I have the right to misbehave, to have a good time. I’m free, and now I can do whatever I want,” she sings.
She gave us the first peek at the song with a clip from the music video, filmed at the LIV Miami nightclub, featuring some big surprise guests! In the video caption, she wrote, “Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Jamaica, and Venezuela in the house!” The special guests were none other than singers Anitta, Danna Paola, and Lele Pons. Supermodel Winnie Harlow also joined, making it a combination that got everyone excited.
Shaka
I went out to clear my head
And tired of being down,
I decided to light up.
I changed friends because the ones I had
Only talked about him.
I had to learn the hard way
That I have nothing to lose,
Just like they do too.
I have the right to misbehave,
To have a good time.
I’m free, and now I can do whatever I want,
Being single is a blast.
I have the right to misbehave,
To have a good time.
I’m free, and now I can do whatever I want,
Being single is a blast.
The day is perfect for a boat and the beach,
And to cross the line.
On the sand, on the towel,
That little plan never fails, yeah-yeah.
This girl has fans,
And a broken heart like Sanz (Ah-ah).
Many hit on me, but
Few really deliver.
I’m selective, few prospects, that’s normal.
For obvious reasons, I’ve developed a phobia of love.
If a guy messages me, screenshot for his girlfriend.
