Sabrina Carpenter’s Kama Sutra: Every ‘Juno’ Trend Pose on the ‘Short n’ Sweet Tour’

Ana Escobar  — This 2024, those of us who weren’t very familiar with Sabrina Carpenter have discovered an artist who goes far beyond the obvious. We already knew she had great talent, but thanks to Short n’ Sweet, we’ve come to know a fun, carefree, honest, cheeky, and glamorous star with a remarkable ability to laugh at herself. She expresses and lives her sexuality with complete freedom. It was clear to us after she made out with an alien during the 2024 VMAs live show.

One of the most striking examples of this is found in ‘Juno,’ a song from her latest album that references the teen movie starring Elliot Page and Michael Cera about an unplanned pregnancy. In the song, Sabrina playfully confesses that she’s so smitten with her crush that she’d let them “pull a Juno” on her — essentially, leave her pregnant. Through lyrics that are sometimes subtle, sometimes direct, she openly sings about sex, with lines like:  «Adore me, grab me, and explore me. Mark your territory / I’m so turned on… tell me I’m the one.»

When performed on tour, this playful and erotic side of the artist has also come to life during her North American shows (in the U.S. and Canada). In several cities, Carpenter has leaned into the lyric, «Wanna try some freaky positions? Have you ever tried this one?» to present her own take on the Kama Sutra.

Standing slightly bent forward, with one leg raised, sitting, lying down like a starfish, with both legs lifted, with one leg in the air, even incorporating a somersault… Over the course of this first leg of her world tour, she’s shown us around 25 different positions. What new surprises will she bring starting in March when her tour reaches Europe?

1. Columbus, Toronto, Detroit, Minneapolis

The pose that kicked off the trend occurred during the early dates of the tour. It involved sitting facing forward (at first) and then facing backward, with a slight hip movement.

2. New York

Lying down with her legs slightly bent at a 45º angle, the singer struck a new pose that raised alarms about potential future surprises.

3. Hartford, Raleigh, Seattle

Sabrina chose a classic on three occasions: the timeless «doggy style.»

4. Boston

In Boston, a 2-in-1 was pulled off: a twerk pose combined with «slow perreo,» as they say in reggaetón.
