Rauw Alejandro’s Surprises in ‘Déjame Entrar’: English Lyrics

The Latin music scene is always changing, and Rauw Alejandro, the Puerto Rican singer and songwriter, is leading the way. With his recent Latin GRAMMY win and four GRAMMY nominations, Rauw has shown he’s a major player in the music industry.

Now, he’s back with a new single, «Déjame Entrar,» that really shows off his versatility. The song is a vibrant mix of Latin sounds, Afro Beat, Reggaeton, and Dancehall. Also, the Puerto Rican has two big surprises with this release, and both are revealed in his music video. The first one is that in the video features a special appearance by Oscar winner Adrien Brody and shows Rauw exploring New York’s equestrian culture.

Directed by Martin Seipel and produced by ABSNT, the video premiered on MTV Live, MTVU, MTV Flow Latino, and on Paramount billboards in Times Square, showcasing Alejandro’s wide reach and popularity. The other surprise comes in a scene where he impresses us with his dance moves, and in the background, you can see a sign that reads: ‘Cosa Nuestra – Fall 2024.’ Could this be his new studio album? It sure looks like it.
