Rapper Ralan Styles, known for his version of the children’s song Baby Shark, was fatally shot at the young age of 22. According to police sources, the singer was killed on October 19 in Columbus, Ohio, after being shot multiple times when he resisted a robber trying to steal the chain he was wearing around his neck.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the rapper severely bleeding from gunshot wounds. Despite attempts to revive him, nothing could be done to save his life. Ralan’s brother, fellow rapper Lil Goat, announced the musician’s death on social media.

Lil Goat shared an emotional tribute on Instagram, saying, «Not my lil brother man💔💔💔I’m still waiting for you to call me and tell me this whole thing is a joke🥺🥺💔My heart is fucking broken, i’ll never be the same💔We went from rapping at the lunch table together in middle school, to becoming superstars💔We slept on the floor together, we ate together, we fought together, signed our first deal together. I love you bro, and as long as i’m alive you’ll never die. Watch over me🕊️Rest in peace to my lil brother @ralanstyles 💔 Save me a spot up there my heart».

Although the suspect managed to escape before police arrived, a 24-year-old man named Mahamood Hassan was arrested after witnesses provided a detailed description of the assailant, and he was identified in a lineup.

Charged with murder, Hassan is currently being held in Franklin County Jail awaiting trial. Court records show he has been arrested four times in 2018, with charges including burglary and theft.
