Last Saturday, April 20, rapper Christopher Cheeks, better known as Chris King, was murdered in Nashville after a robbery attempt. According to the report from the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department, the rapper was in an alley with a group of friends at 2 a.m. on Saturday when two men tried to rob them and ended up pulling out guns that they didn’t hesitate to fire.

«The shots rang out hitting Chris and another person. Eventually, both men fled the scene in separate directions,» TMZ reported, «the victims ended up at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment, but Chris succumbed to his injuries, leaving his famous friends stunned.»

He was only 32 years old and leaves a great void among his friends and fans. Another of his friends with whom he cordially shared the night was also injured.

According to The Tennessean, the police is searching for a 19-year-old suspect, Adrian Cameron, Jr., who was out on bail after Josh Evans, 50, was killed in September 2021 during what police called a drug transaction attempt. The suspect had a location ankle bracelet that he cut off after the shooting last Saturday.
