For the past few days, the first part of the third season of ‘Bridgerton’ has been available on Netflix. This season follows the love story between Penelope, who is doing everything she can to get married and leave her mother Lady Featherington’s household, and Colin Bridgerton, who returns from a trip through Europe with great experience and ease in high society.

One of the things we love about this period series is the anachronistic soundtrack. Instead of featuring 19th-century music, the series includes orchestral instrumental versions of contemporary hits. Throughout the storyline, we’ve heard «bad guy,» «Wildest Dreams,» «thank u, next,» and more.

One of the most notable songs in this season is «Give Me Everything» by Pitbull, Afrojack, and Ne-Yo, which dates back to 2011. (Warning: spoilers ahead.) This song appears in the last 10 minutes of the fourth episode, during a particularly tense and steamy moment between our protagonists.

Upon seeing it, the Cuban-American artist couldn’t help but express his gratitude towards the series and the streaming platform. «This shows the world, once again, how music is the international language that transcends borders and, moreover, how a hit can remain timeless. Thank you ‘Bridgerton’ and Netflix for the opportunity, Dale!» he shared on his social media.

Thus, Mr. Worldwide has been dubbed «Lord» in honor of the show. «Surely, this author would agree more with Lord Worldwide… Music speaks when words cannot,» reads one of the comments on his post.

The soundtrack of the adaptation also includes songs like «Happier Than Ever» by Billie Eilish; «Dynamite» by BTS; «abcdefu» by GAYLE; «Jealous» by Nick Jonas; «Cheap Thrills» by Sia; and «Snow on the Beach» by Taylor Swift & Lana Del Rey.
