What Manuel Turizo experienced on February 26th at the Viña del Mar Festival in Chile has been unforgettable. The Colombian artist performed alongside his brother Julián Turizo, showcasing some of the most iconic songs of their career. What they didn’t know was that their talent would receive great recognition from the Chilean audience.

«Being here, in Viña del Mar, is a dream come true. I always wanted to share my music on one of the most iconic stages in Spanish music, and I have finally achieved it,» said Manuel on stage. In addition to serving as a judge at the festival, he added rhythm with songs like «La Nota,» «Mala Costumbre,» and «Déjala Que Vuelva.» He also performed «Quiéreme Mientras Se Pueda» while playing the piano.

The surprise came when they were awarded the Golden and Silver Gaviotas, acknowledgments from the Viña del Mar audience and jury. Applause continued as Julián and Manuel held these two awards in front of their fans. But it didn’t end there. Just before their performance, Manuel received two certifications from Sony Music executives: a Double Diamond Stream for surpassing 100 million plays in «La Bachata» in Chile and a Platinum Stream for the single «Merengue» with Marshmello, reaching 20 million listens in Chile.
