In a surprising way, Pepe Aguilar revealed in an interview with LOS40 Colombia who covered all the expenses for his daughter Ángela Aguilar’s wedding to Christian Nodal. As many know, the unexpected wedding took place in July at Hacienda San Gabriel de las Palmas in Morelos.

With all the luxury on display at the celebration, many started to wonder about the cost of the wedding and, more importantly, who paid for it. Recently, Pepe himself answered those questions, and his response caught many off guard, as it hinted that his son-in-law ‘wasn’t involved at all.’

In a lighthearted tone, the head of the Aguilar Dynasty said he ‘had no choice but to pay for Ángela and Christian’s wedding. “You don’t really have a choice! Of course, I did, without hesitation,” he confirmed. “Can you imagine? My son-in-law never even asked, ‘Hey, father-in-law, need help with anything?’” he joked, but made sure to add that his son-in-law isn’t stingy and is a great guy.

When asked about the cost of the wedding, the radio host pushed for details. “Don’t remind me of that because I’m going to need some tequila now too. Let’s just say it was far from cheap. Don’t remind me of those things,” he replied with good humor. Although he didn’t share the exact amount, he did mention that when he saw the bill, his reaction was, “Who did this?”

A Menu of Excellence

Of course, a wedding as exclusive and luxurious as theirs had to come with an exquisite menu, and it didn’t disappoint. When the first photos of the wedding were released, images of the food and menu surfaced as well. Some of the dishes included: jicama salad, pumpkin, tuna and shrimp tartare; Orzo, short rib, and chocolate cake with hazelnut cream and salted caramel.

Not only was the food exceptional, but it was served in luxurious glassware and tableware. Everything was meticulously coordinated, featuring the initials ‘C&A,’ which added a personal and sophisticated touch to the celebration.
