With just under a month until the highly anticipated 40th MTV Video Music Awards 2024, the network has revealed the first lineup of international performers. These include Sabrina Carpenter, Puerto Rican artist Rauw Alejandro, Glorilla, Camila Cabello, and Chappell Roan.

This talented lineup promises an exciting night, especially as the event on September 11 at UBS Arena in New York will also support the National Day of Service and Remembrance of 9/11 in collaboration with Tuesday’s Children.

Inside the VMAs: Exclusive Details from MTV

Camila Cabello is set to perform a new track from her album C,XOXO. Sabrina Carpenter will also take the stage, performing songs from her album Short n’ Sweet, including hits like ‘Espresso,’ ‘Please, Please, Please,’ and even ‘Feather,’ despite the controversy surrounding its music video. Additionally, Rauw Alejandro will debut a new song from his fifth album, following his three nominations for ‘Touching the Sky.’

This year, Taylor Swift remains the clear favorite with 10 nominations across general and technical categories. Other notable nominees include Post Malone with 9, Eminem with 6, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, and rising star Chappell Roan.

The latter has gained attention with her song ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ and earned two VMA nominations for ‘Best New Artist’ and ‘Push Performance of the Year’. Despite her relatively short career, she has already made history at Lollapalooza in Chicago, drawing a record-breaking crowd of 110,000 people. The largest audience the festival has ever seen worldwide.

With about a month left, more announcements are expected as we approach one of the most anticipated award ceremonies of the season. In the coming weeks, more big names will likely join the lineup, including many top nominees.
