Beyond the sadness, shock, and confusion, Liam Payne’s passing has left fans with new questions—especially about his artistic journey. Earlier this year, the former One Direction star released ‘Teardrops,’ marking the beginning of a new chapter in his music.

Liam had shared that this single was meant to lead into a second solo album, offering an honest look at his personal highs and lows. With the hope that it might resonate with others—whether they’re overcoming challenges or celebrating their successes. “There were so many tears shed while recording these songs. For the first time, fans will get a real sense of my day-to-day life making this album, because it’s literally a snapshot of my year. Each song reflects exactly how I was feeling on those days, so it could help someone going through a rough patch. Or give them something to celebrate. That’s something I really wanted to do with this project, and honestly, it’s the best part of what I do,” he explained in a teaser video.

‘Do No Wrong’: Liam Payne’s Posthumous Song

One of the planned tracks was ‘Do No Wrong,’ a song that recently surfaced thanks to producer Sam Pounds. He shared a short clip from the studio on social media, showing the final version of the song alongside Liam and his sister Ruth, who co-wrote the lyrics. In the video, both artists invited Chris Brown to join the collaboration—one of Liam’s wishes before his passing on October 16.

I pray that this will be a blessing to the world like Liam has always dreamed. I pray angels will comfort you all everyday while listening. I pray that this song will be a blessing to Ruth, Bear, and the entire family. I pray that this song drowns out any negativity. May the supernatural power of healing wrap around each of you. With love, let’s all be the blessing,” Pounds shared on his X profile.

This posthumous single will be released later this week on November 1. A date chosen to «honor Liam’s memory» with three versions: the final studio recording, a live mix, and an a cappella version sung by Payne himself.
