Now that we’ve packed away the Christmas decorations, our focus is shifting towards the next big event on the calendar: Valentine’s Day, which falls on February 14th. As this romantic day approaches, you’ll start to notice shades of red and pink, along with heart-themed decorations all around.

Many businesses are getting ready for this day by creating special campaigns and collections. Kim Kardashian’s lingerie brand, ‘Skims,’ is ahead of the game. Kim has teamed up with none other than Lana Del Rey to be the face of their Valentine’s Day collection, which is set to hit the shelves on January 23rd.

‘Coquette’ Queen

In this ‘coquette’ themed photoshoot, Lana Del Rey is presented as a luxurious gift, nestled inside a plush, oversized heart-shaped box. She’s adorned in a sky-blue velvet and lace bodysuit, complemented by silk opera gloves and matching hair bows. Another shot captures her in a pink ensemble, wearing a lacy lingerie bodysuit with velvet gloves. She’s half-covered by a crimson blanket, surrounded by white cats.

In a more dramatic shot, she graces us in a long, black lace slip dress, adorned with a mantilla that adds a touch of Spanish allure. Throughout the photoshoot, Lana poses with an apple bearing initials on her head, reminiscent of William Tell, and even wears an eye patch.

Kim Kardashian announced, “Our @SKIMS Valentine LANA DEL REY. Music’s queen of hearts @honeymoon opens our dedicated Valentine’s Shop on Tuesday, January 23 at 9AM PT / 12PM ET.” On the other hand, the «Born to Die» singer didn’t wait until the collection launch date to unveil her new song, «Henry, Come On.»

The Reactions

Due to the substantial number of followers that each of these divas has, Lana Del Rey received an overwhelming number of positive comments on social media. Within the post, many users expressed their support and admiration for the campaign.

Of course, social media platform X didn’t lag behind either, with users playfully sharing their delight at seeing Lana in this unique context and even creating art inspired by her.
