Lana Del Rey Renames Her Album ‘Lasso’ to ‘The Right Person Will Stay’: Tour Kicking Off in 2025

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey has surprised her fans by announcing a new title for her upcoming studio album, now called The Right Person Will Stay. Originally titled Lasso, the highly anticipated release is slated to drop on May 21, 2025. The change suggests a fresh lyrical and sonic direction for Lana, influenced by country music.

The album features 13 tracks and has been produced in collaboration with renowned industry names like Jack Antonoff, Drew Erickson, and Luke Laird. On social media, Lana expressed her excitement about the project, highlighting the creative synergy with her collaborators.

This release marks the end of a two-year hiatus since her 2023 album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. The first single from the album, titled Henry, has already generated enormous anticipation, with millions of fans eagerly awaiting its arrival. The song, which Lana previewed on social media a few months ago, promises to offer a glimpse into the fresh, emotional sound that defines this new work. Additionally, Lana has revealed that more songs will be unveiled before her performance at the Stagecoach Festival in April 2025.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Lana described the album as a reflection of her artistic and personal growth. “I’m so grateful for how these 13 songs have come together through my beautiful collaborations with Luke, Jack, Drew, and others. I’m excited for you to hear a few tracks before Stagecoach, starting with Henry. Love always,” she wrote.

The Right Person Will Stay represents a new chapter in Lana Del Rey’s career, as she continues to be a powerful influence in contemporary music since her debut. With this album, she explores fresh sounds and themes while staying true to her unmistakable lyrical and melodic style.

In addition to the album release, Lana Del Rey has announced a stadium tour kicking off in June 2025. The tour will take her to various cities, giving fans the opportunity to experience her music live. Tickets for the concerts will go on sale starting in January 2025.
