Karol G is known for making headlines with each of her performances. The Colombian star, who has dominated 2024 with her Mañana Será Bonito Tour, was one of the highlights of the 2024 VMAs. Not only for her stunning look on the red carpet, but also for the show she put on during the gala.

Karol G, representing the Latin artists at this year’s edition along with Rauw Alejandro, Camila Cabello and Anitta, was one of the performers to take the stage. And what a spectacle she put on! She kicked things off with a reinterpretation of the look she wore in her music video for Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido—a white pair of pants, a top, and her hair styled in two high ponytails.

Karol G brought the party to the audience, culminating in the recreation of the bar from the video, filled with dancers in swimsuits.

But the moment that will go down in the history of the awards was when Taylor Swift stood up and joined Karol G to dance to Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido. The Fortnight star started dancing reggaeton alongside the Colombian singer.

This isn’t Karol G’s first act on the MTV VMAs stage. In 2023, she was also part of the show, where she performed alongside dozens of dancers to sing a remix of OKI DOKI and Ta Ok, two songs from her album Bichota Season. Without a doubt, Karol G is building a career at the U.S. music awards. She also made waves at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, delivering one of the most acclaimed performances of the night, complete with a water-filled choreography (literally) to perform QLONA, Labios Mordidos, and Ojos Ferrari.
