Karol G’s concerts are filled with emotions. It’s like a rollercoaster of feelings: one moment you’re dancing to «Tusa» with excitement, the next you’re moved to tears by «El Barco». ‘La Bichota’, really knows how to touch our hearts in every way. But sometimes, unfortunately, even she needs a hug, applause filled with love, and some kind words. Because, just like all of us, Karol is human and faces the same kinds of challenges.
This past Tuesday, July 2nd, Karol G performed at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin in front of thousands of people. Before singing her song «Ocean», she experienced a deeply emotional moment. Overcome with emotion, she spoke with a trembling voice.
“A couple of days ago, I lost someone who passed away. It hit me too late how much I truly cared about them. It’s only now that I’ve realized the depth of my feelings. I’m not sure if I ever told them enough how grateful I was for their presence, their companionship, and their friendship.”
The singer went on to say that these days she has been quite sad, feeling like she didn’t express it enough. She urged the audience to say “I love you” to their loved ones: “Tell them today while you still have the chance. It’s something we should all make a point to do every day.”
Karol G’s Message to the LGBTI+ Community
At her concert in Berlin, Karol G wore a special outfit: a dress adorned with the colors of the LGBTI+ flag and a braid styled with the same colors.
“Today I’m wearing these colors because I want you to know that my concerts, my space, my music, my videos—everything I do—is meant to be a safe place for each of you to love freely. There’s nothing more beautiful than respecting everyone’s individuality. Let’s each live our lives our own way, enjoying ourselves as we like. This place is my happy place. My happiest moments are when I’m up here with all of you.”
