Kanye West finds himself at the center of controversy again following accusations from his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, who filed a lawsuit claiming she was drugged and sexually assaulted by the rapper during a studio session in Santa Monica, California. According to the complaint, the incident occurred at an event co-organized by West and rapper Sean «Diddy» Combs, Diddy, who is facing a complicated trial accused of sex trafficking and racketeering.

Diddy, who was mentioned in the lawsuit, has not been accused of participating in the alleged abuse, but his presence at the event has raised attention. The connection between these two musicians in these events has sparked media interest, fueling the debate around inappropriate conduct in the music industry.

Pisciotta, who worked for West between 2021 and 2022, alleges that during the session, she was served a drink that had been tampered with at Kanye’s direction, leaving her disoriented and unable to control her body. The next morning, she felt ill and ashamed but could not recall the details of the assault until much later. Eventually, West allegedly admitted that they had a “brief encounter” that night, leading Pisciotta to realize she had been sexually assaulted.

The lawsuit, filed on October 8, 2024, in Los Angeles, adds to another claim Pisciotta had previously filed in June of the same year, accusing West of sexual harassment and wrongful termination. In that case, she also claimed the rapper owed her millions in severance pay and that he had sent her obscene and inappropriate text messages, including nude photos and images of Kanye himself having sex. Their relationship ended shortly after Pisciotta tried to distance herself, fearing retaliation, which led to her termination.

This is not Kanye West’s first scandal, as he has been involved in various controversies throughout his career, both in his personal and professional life. In addition to Pisciotta’s accusations, West is also facing lawsuits related to his Christian school, Donda Academy, where he is accused of harassment and discrimination. These legal battles have kept the artist under constant public scrutiny, with his legal team continuing to deny all allegations while preparing countersuits for what they claim are baseless accusations.

Pisciotta’s case could mark a critical point in the series of lawsuits Kanye West has faced in recent years, further worsening his legal and public image. As this and other cases progress through the courts, more details about the accusations and responsibilities involved are expected to come to light.

Kanye West, a Sexual Harassment and Turbulent Behavior History

Kanye West has been embroiled in multiple controversies related to his treatment of staff, particularly at his Donda Academy and his Yeezy brand. In recent years, several former employees have filed lawsuits accusing the rapper of racism, discrimination, and abusive working conditions.

One of the most notable accusations comes from Benjamin Deshon Provo, who worked as a security guard at Donda Academy. Provo claims he was wrongfully terminated after reporting labor code violations. He also asserts that Kanye treated his employees unequally, being particularly hostile toward Black workers while being more lenient with white employees. Additionally, he accused Kanye of forcing him to cut off his dreadlocks under the threat of being fired.

Another significant case is that of Trevor Phillips, who also worked at Donda Academy and filed a lawsuit alleging harassment and discrimination. Phillips claimed that Kanye forced students to shave their heads and planned to build cells in the academy to lock students inside. He also accused West of showing inappropriate photos of his sexual partners to his employees.

The work environment described by various plaintiffs was toxic, with constant physical threats and humiliation. A report by Rolling Stone exposed these violent and manipulative behaviors by the rapper. Several employees stated that West used explicit videos to intimidate and create a toxic work atmosphere. According to witnesses, in some meetings at Yeezy, Ye justified these actions as a «creative source of inspiration,» which made his team uncomfortable.

These incidents reflect a troubling pattern in the way Kanye West has managed his projects and work relationships, compounding his already complicated legal and public image.
