This Friday, July 12th, J Balvin and Saiko released their new song together. It’s the first time the Colombian artist has collaborated with the Spanish artist. The song, titled «GAGA,» gives us a glimpse of what’s to come on J Balvin’s upcoming album, Rayo. Alongside the song’s debut, the Colombian artist announced the release of his new album:
“Life has shown me that taking breaks is crucial for personal growth. Here I am again, full of energy, thankful, and enjoying music just like when I first started out. I’m excited to introduce ‘RAYO,’ an album I loved creating with music legends and the new generation. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, feeling the same energy I had while making it. Love you all. Jose.
P.S. ‘RAYO’—my first car.”

In their song «GAGA,» the two artists not only pay tribute to a major pop artist from the 2000s but also explore romantic reggaeton, playing with the syllables in the chorus. The release includes a music video showing both artists in front of a car (possibly a nod to Balvin’s first car?), singing in black and white.
Hello?
They already told me (Ah, ah)
That heaven was promised to you (Ah-ah-ah)
But it was while they were messing with you (Ah-ah-ah)
In the club, they saw you crying alone over some poor devil
Who wouldn’t let you leave, wouldn’t let you speak
You didn’t go back to drinking or smoking, hey (Ah, ah)
Go back to your ways, yeah (Ah-ah-ah)
And say ‘goodbye’ to the toxic one
That, darling, before him, you were on fire
Do it again, do it again
If you miss messing around without love
Then do it again, darling, do it again
Don’t tie yourself down, mai-ai-ai-ai-ai
Get into it with mischief, like you used to
Don’t tie yourself down, mai-ai-ai-ai-ai (Eh)
Because the club is lit up
He had you all dulled down-down-down-down
With him, you were like this-this-this-this
But with me, you wet the sheets-sheets-sheets-sheets
I make it drop and it goes «gla» (Gla, gla, gla)
Win-win-win the lottery, darling, win the clothes
Leave that fool, I just hope he learns
Dress however you want, here, so you can go shopping
Seeing you in a bad way with him doesn’t surprise me, no
He’s not your dad to forbid you
Or prevent you from wearing lipstick or that corset
That looks so nice on you
You and I have something, but don’t tie yourself down, ma
But don’t tie yourself down, ma
But don’t tie yourself down, ma
And, oh, he doesn’t see it, that you’re shining without the highlighter
After red, I stole your heart, Swiper
And if you want, I’ll do it again
I’ll do it again
Don’t tie yourself down, mai-ai-ai-ai-ai
Get into it with mischief, like you used to
Don’t tie yourself down, mai-ai-ai-ai-ai (Eh)
Because the club is lit up
He had you all dulled down-down-down-down
With him, you were like this-this-this-this
But with me, you wet the sheets-sheets-sheets-sheets
I make it drop and it goes «gla» (Gla, gla, gla)
