If there’s an artist who gives everything and more for music, it’s Adele. The British singer traded her residence for Las Vegas in late 2022 to start her first residency show – a series of live performances held in the same venue for several months. Adele’s fans in the US, as well as anyone visiting Las Vegas, had the opportunity to enjoy the artist for a total of 40 weeks, with concerts every Saturday and Sunday at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, under the name «Weekends with Adele.»

An intense season that Adele has enjoyed to the fullest, but the amount of work seems to have taken a toll. «I’m sure you can hear it in my voice when I talk and sing. Your girl is tired. I haven’t slept very well…,» she told the audience during the show. Continuous performances with her vocal potential have led to a mandatory break for the singer of «Easy on Me.»

This is not the first time the artist has experienced vocal cord problems; in 2011, she had surgery due to bleeding caused by benign polyps in the area. Since then, she has had to take much greater care of her voice.

Temporary Break

A significant aspect of Adele’s concerts is her interaction with the audience, sharing stories, and connecting with those who have come to see her. In one of her recent shows, she clarified the famous meme of her during an NBA game, where she claimed to be upset about the treatment she was receiving from the organization. In the last concert, she decided to reveal the state of her health after this long concert tour.

Always approachable and honest with her fans, she said: «After this show, I’m going to give my voice a break. Can you imagine how difficult it is now not to talk for three days?» emphasizing the importance of taking care of her voice, especially considering her previous vocal cord difficulties.

To lighten the mood, the singer joked about how talkative her son and partner are: «Not only is my partner a chatterbox, but so is my son. So, I’ll have to lock myself in a closet or something,» she said.

At the moment, it doesn’t seem like Adele is going to choose to retire, and it would only be a temporary break. Thus, the British singer ontinues to care for her throat to offer the best shows to her fans, who eagerly await her with open arms for the upcoming live performances in Europe scheduled for August 2, 3, 9, 10, 14, 16, 23, 24, 30, and 31 at the Munich Messe.
