Dua Lipa has had an amazing 2024, though to be honest, her career has been on the rise since she made her international breakthrough with ‘New Rules.’ She’s known for being a true workaholic (even though many memes joke that she’s always on vacation). This past March, she released her third studio album, Radical Optimism, and announced her world tour for 2025.
Now, to the surprise of her fans, Dua Lipa has revealed she’s releasing a new album: a very special one that will surely excite her followers. And it’s no wonder. The album was recorded live at The Royal Albert Hall in London, one of the world’s most famous and iconic venues. What makes this album even more special is that all the songs are accompanied by a symphonic orchestra, giving Dua Lipa’s tracks the feeling of a movie soundtrack. It’s a fresh way to experience her music.
“It’s official. Live from The Royal Albert Hall, the album, December 6. Hearing my songs and performing them in this form for the first time was the most special experience, and now they’re yours, pre-order now !!! @itv broadcast will be live 8th December and @CBStv on 15th December for the full experienceeee,” she wrote.
Additionally, as announced on social media, Elton John will also be part of the repertoire. He’ll likely perform ‘Cold Heart’ live, unless he has more surprises for us.
The Heritage Orchestra
For the recording of this live album, Dua Lipa has teamed up with one of the UK’s most famous orchestras: The Heritage Orchestra. Founded by Chris Wheeler and Jules Buckley, the orchestra has become a well-established name in the music world. It’s worked with other artists like Raye and Sam Ryder in the past. Now, it’s Dua Lipa’s turn. However, we’re still waiting to find out what the full setlist will be.
