Carín León has become one of the leading figures in regional Mexican music globally. And while the label “regional” might not fully align with his values, the artist from Hermosillo represents the triumph of Mexican music beyond labels, reflecting his personal style.

A lover of fusion, R&B, blues, and jazz, León maintains a unique touch in his compositions, as demonstrated in his latest studio album, Boca Chueca Vol. 1. “Boca Chueca” in Spanish means “crooked mouth,” which might serve as a metaphor for what Carín has always championed: moving away from the straight path and embracing experimentation.

León continues to expand his horizons following the success of his 2023 tour after releasing his hit album Colmillo de Leche (2023), which earned a Latin Grammy for Best Norteño Album.
