The farewell included a final reminder for the family: «He had an amazing wife, Jeanette, and a devoted daughter, Dana, and two beautiful grandchildren, Yvette and Roland. He was very loved. Safe travels Butch. Rowland Martin (Butch) Buyincé June 1946 – February 2024 Rest in Peace.»

So far, Beyoncé has not commented on this loss through her social media. It’s worth noting that family is very important to the artist, who has experienced various dramas such as her parents’ separation due to infidelities that revealed the existence of a half-brother, as well as the death of another uncle to whom she dedicated the album Renaissance (2022)

«And many thanks to my uncle Jonny. He was my godfather and the first person to expose me to much of the music and culture that inspired this album. Thanks to all the pioneers who started the culture, to all the fallen angels whose contributions have faded without recognition. This celebration is for you,» the artist expressed at that time.
