Bad Gyal is one of the most prominent artists in the urban music scene in Spanish. However, more and more artists are joining this realm and making waves on international charts. Their music crosses borders and attracts collaborations with artists from around the world. It’s evident when someone is born to share their musical talent with the world.

A great example of this is Mushkaa, the sister of Bad Gyal, who clearly inherits the family’s artistic talents. At just 20 years old, she’s already making a name for herself in the Catalan (Spain) urban music scene.

Who Exactly Is Mushkaa, And What Sets Her Apart As An Artist?

Her real name is Irma Farelo, born in 2004. Her love for music blossomed when she first picked up the trumpet as a child. In 2021, inspired by her sister’s success, she decided to share her own musical gifts with the world. She released her track «Res Kla,» which quickly gained popularity on digital platforms.

Her fans connected with her right from the start, and in 2022, she decided to meet them face-to-face at a venue in her home country. Her live performance received a great response, showing Catalan festivals that she deserved a spot on their stages. After releasing several music tracks, her first EP titled Tas Loko Mixtape came out in 2023. It’s already racked up 10 million streams on Spotify. Once again, her music’s success led to more live performances, boosting her confidence on stage with each show.

Her mix of reggaeton, dancehall, R&B, and rap is catching the attention of more and more people. Proof of this is the positive reception her second EP, «SexySensible,» has received. It blends all these musical styles and includes a few collaborations. Although «SexeSexy,» a track featured in the EP, hasn’t been released yet, there are strong rumors suggesting she’ll drop it with her sister Bad Gyal. We’ll have to wait to see.

What’s evident is that this combination of music genres and her bold and heartfelt lyrics have established her as a prominent figure among the new wave of urban music artists. According to her record label, “music has always been a form of self-therapy” for her.
