Ángela Aguilar has grown up in the spotlight, being part of the Aguilar dynasty from a young age and following in her family’s artistic footsteps. However, ever since she announced her relationship with Christian Nodal after his breakup with Cazzu, the singer has found herself at the center of attention.
Now, she’s back in the media spotlight, but this time it’s not because of her relationship. Instead, it’s due to her father, Pepe Aguilar, recently revealing some details about the demands his daughter makes before a concert. Ángela has gained a bit of a reputation for being ‘spoiled,’ and in the past, she’s faced criticism—especially on social media—for certain incidents.
In an interview with Los40 Colombia, Pepe Aguilar didn’t hold back and shared what his daughter Ángela asks for to feel comfortable before taking the stage. The singer joked about it, saying, “I’m the one in charge of the show; I’m the one who hires these guys… it’s definitely not like, ‘Sweetheart, what do you want to sing?’ No way, what’s going on?”

According to her father, Ángela Aguilar insists that her dressing room be just right so she can perform at her best in every concert. While that’s understandable—everyone needs to prepare for their work—Pepe shared that Ángela’s requests go above and beyond. She asks for 50 dresses, incense, special music, wall decorations, and even massages before the show. “I walk in and think, ‘Am I really paying for all this?’” he joked, laughing.
In contrast, Ángela’s brother, Leonardo Aguilar, is much more easygoing. Pepe Aguilar describes him as a down-to-earth guy, more at home in the countryside, who prefers spending time with the horses or jamming with the musicians rather than hanging out in his dressing room. “Leonardo is a lot like me in that way; he’s never in his dressing room, always out there enjoying the moment,” Pepe said.
Finally, Pepe Aguilar also shared what he needs in his own dressing room to get ready: “You walk into my dressing room, it’s three times bigger, of course. Tequila, water, the damn dog lying there, Piera, and that’s it.”
