Let’s break it down: The first part of The Eras Tour in the US had a huge crowd of over three million devoted Swifties. It smashed previous records for concert sales and left millions of fans wanting even more excitement.
This longing comes from those lucky enough to be at the shows and wanting to relive the magic, as well as from those who sadly missed out due to sold-out performances. And let’s not forget those who got scammed with fake tickets.
Remember that thing that started as a rumor? Well, it’s official now, Swefties! So, don’t pack away your awesome outfits, cowboy boots, or friendship bracelets just yet. You’ll be needing them sooner than you thought. Circle October 13th on your calendar because that’s when The Eras Tour, where Taylor rewinds through 17+ years of her musical journey, hits the big screen.
They made the announcement on Taylor’s favorite show, Good Morning America, and you can catch The Eras Tour Concert Film at AMC Theaters all across the country.
Oh, and heads up: the AMC official site says the film will play at least four times a day on Thursdays through Sundays at every AMC theater in the US.
For adults, tickets will cost $19.89 plus tax, and it’s $13.13 plus tax for kids and seniors –except for special premium screens. Quick note: since this event is special, no free movie passes will work, and AMC Stubs A-List members can’t use their membership to get tickets.
Right now, it’s up in the air whether the tour film will hit international cinemas or streaming platforms, like Netflix did with the Reputation Stadium Tour.
In August, Taylor Swift kicked off her international tour with a bang, selling out tickets for four nights straight at Mexico City’s Foro Sol Stadium, becoming the first woman to pull off this incredible feat.
As we wait for more film project details, get ready for the drop of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on October 27. You can bet we’re already ticking off the days!
