By this point in 2023, it’s little surprise that Taylor Swift is breaking all imaginable records. But that doesn’t mean we won’t share the news, and this is one for the history books. The pop diva has now secured the most number 1 albums in the history of the charts in the United States.
The release of Speak Now (Taylor’s version) has become the new number 1 on the U.S., making it her 11th studio work to top the Billboard 200 chart. With a dozen chart-topping albums, she has surpassed the 11th number 1s achieved by Barbra Streisand throughout her entire career.
The fact that Taylor had to re-record all her albums her own way (with unreleased tracks, extras, and new interpretations) because her former label sold her catalog to her personal and musical archenemy has breathed new life into her career and created an unprecedented bond between an artist and her audience.
.@taylorswift13‘s ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’ officially debuts at No. 1 on this week’s #Billboard200.
It earns Swift her 12th career No. 1 album, passing @BarbraStreisand to tie @Drake for the third-most of all time, after @thebeatles (19) and Jay-Z (14).

Those are additional records to Taylor’s name, as no other woman had achieved this feat before, and in fact, it had been almost 60 years since this happened on the Billboard chart: Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) at number 1, Midnights at number 5, Lover at 7, and Folklore at 10.
Right now, there are only two artists with greater success in the entire history of America: The Beatles (with 19 number 1s) and Jay Z (with 14). Does anyone doubt that she will achieve it?
