Harry Belafonte passed away on Tuesday morning (April 25) from congestive heart failure at home on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. He was 96 years old.
His sudden death has caused a great reaction among stars, celebrities, journalists, politicians and fans, who have paid tribute to the Jamaican-American singer, actor and activist.
Belafonte’s legendary trajectory will go down in history because of his multiple milestones, including the releasing of his breakthrough album ‘Calypso’, which was the first-million selling LP dropped by a single artist.
