Dracula, Nosferatu, Edward Cullen, Nandor, Blade, Damon Salvatore, Marceline, Pechugella… They all have a common goal on June 30: to listen to ‘Vampire’, Olivia Rodrigo’s new song. But they are not the only ones.

Rodrigo’s fans are impatient to hear the first single from her second album (a project that, by the way, several sources have claimed will have dark-pop influences). That’s why they are doing everything possible to discover possible teasers or snippets to get an idea of how the song sounds. And we have to say they succeeded!

It turns out that by dialing a phone number – the one the artist uses to communicate with her followers like a newsletter – a waiting melody starts to play. Many have decided to record it and share it on social media, always with the same description. And yes: it’s a snippet of the upcoming single!

These piano chords not only indicate that ‘Vampire’ would be a ballad but also reminded us of one of her past Instagram posts. On April 4, Livi shared a short video playing the same string instrument, with the only drawback being that it was intentionally muted, which didn’t stop her followers from recording the resulting sound by watching the keys she presses. This post already put us on the trail of new music, so it’s possible that both are part of the same song.

Then came the announcement that her second album is scheduled to be released this year, and the release date was hidden in the composition of one of her mirror selfies… The anticipation is through the roof and, finally, it will culminate in nine days. Not much time left!

In addition to the music, Rodrigo has also let us read the first lines of the song: «How do you lie? How do you lie? How do you lie?» A phrase that once again brings the theme of heartbreak to the table. But that’s not all. Merchandise with the word «bloodsucker» is also being sent to the most dedicated fans of the young artist.
