Monsieur Periné is a Colombian band formed by Catalina García and Santiago Prieto. Both born and raised in Colombia, they have a deep passion for their land and roots. Their song ‘Nuestra Canción’ topped the TikTok U.S. chart and Spotify Global viral chart, accumulating over 2 billion views and being used in more than 2 million videos. 

Their music invites listeners to embark on a musical journey that explores the cultural roots of various Latin American sounds, all infused with their unique and unmistakable signature style. 

In 2015, they won their first Latin GRAMMY for «Best New Artist» and received nominations for «Album of the Year» (2015 and 2018), «Record of the Year» (2018), and «Song of the Year» (2018). They were also nominated for the GRAMMY Awards in the category of «Best Latin, Urban or Alternative Rock Album» in 2016 and 2019. Their album Encanto Tropical (2018) includes their popular song «Bailar Contigo,» which has now more than 120 million total streams. 

They have traveled the world, reaching the most diverse, eccentric, and eloquent stages at renowned festivals like Rock in Río, Lollapalooza Chicago and Chile, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, Fusion Festival Berlin, Estéreo Picnic Bogotá, Festival at Pohoda, Festival Vive Latino in Mexico, Cosquin Rock, Tecate pal Norte, and many others.

The creative process behind the album was an extensive journey. With an impressive collection of 50 compositions, they picked 16 before finally settling on the 12 tracks that would make it to the final release.
