Miley Cyrus Unveils Special Tenth Anniversary Vinyl Edition of ‘Bangerz’

A decade has passed since Hannah Montana's image was shed, and 'Wrecking Ball' dominated the charts

Time seems to slip away swiftly, and in the blink of an eye, we’ll be celebrating the 10th anniversary since Miley Cyrus graced us with one of the most remarkable albums of her career: Bangerz.

Let’s journey back to the summer of 2013, a season marked by the debut of its first singles, «We Can’t Stop» and «Wrecking Ball.» These two songs not only became anthems that set the mood for parties, beach escapades, road voyages, but dominated the charts for months.

But why was this album so significant? Well, Miley Cyrus figuratively shed the last traces of her Disney girl image by leaving behind Hannah Montana. She sheared her hair, transforming it into platinum blonde locks, and embraced an entirely rejuvenated image and style, marked by a notably more sensual and sexual portrayal of the new Miley.

In doing so, she took control of her own narrative, presenting to the world her most genuine and unfiltered version of herself until that point.

A Special Vinyl for its Tenth Anniversary

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of its release, Miley Cyrus has chosen to delight her fans with a particularly significant announcement on her social media: the vinyl edition of Bangerz; which is currently open for pre-orders on Amazon and specialized stores, with its official release set for September 29th.

This special edition has a fresh packaging, new photos from that era, and includes the song «23» to its repertoire –the song that the American artist collaborated on with Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J during that same year. This album shaped her entire decade and achieved three platinum records in the United States.

Miley In 2023

After the triumph of «Flowers» and «Endless Summer Vacation» earlier this year, Miley Cyrus persistently reaffirms her status within the global music landscape.

Furthermore, her recent nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards have positioned her as a central figure in this prestigious ceremony. She is nominated in five categories:

  1. Video of the Year «Flowers»
  2. Song of the Year «Flowers»
  3. Best Pop «Flowers»
  4. Best Cinematography – «Flowers»
  5. Best Editing for her second single, «River.»

While we must wait until September 12th to know the winners, you can already cast your vote for your favorite. In the meantime, why not listen to Bangerz on repeat? Ten years later, it’s still stuck in our heads.
