In recent weeks, Madonna has caused us great concern with her health. It was at the end of June when it was revealed that the pop diva was admitted to a hospital in New York after suffering a bacterial infection that required emergency care. After hours of uncertainty, it was announced that she was responding well to medication and was discharged from the ICU, although she continued to receive hospital care.

In addition to the concern about her health, her fans also feared for her tour, which is commemorating 40 years on stage. The bad news came quickly, and her team was obligated to announce the postponement of her ‘The Celebration Tour’: «We will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled concerts,» her team wrote, leaving her fans eager to see the artist dazzle. However, following the recent incidents, it was unclear what would happen with the planned dates.

This Monday, Madonna addressed her fans on social media, reassuring them. «Thank you for your positive energy. Prayers and words of healing and encouragement. I have felt your love,» wrote the 64-year-old artist after her scare.

«I am on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life,» she continues. The artist explained that the first thing she thought about when waking up in the hospital was her children, but she didn’t hesitate to reveal that the next thought was about her fans: «My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I also didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone,» she expressed.

Continuing her message, Madonna explained that her team’s plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and start in Europe in the fall.

Therefore, her tour, which was supposed to begin on Tuesday, July 18, in Washington, will be postponed, as well as the concerts that were scheduled to follow until reaching Europe. It seems that her plans include resting during the summer and coming back full force in the fall!
