Airports are known for being a place where meaningful moments in life happen, such as reuniting with loved ones and the feeling of coming back home. That’s why Scottish singer and songwriter Lewis Capaldi chose to publicly present his new single ‘Wish You The Best‘ at the Heathrow Arrivals gate in London.
In the video, several passengers stare at Capaldi as he makes a moving performance in the middle of an emotional and soft lighting atmosphere. Different families get reunited after a long time without seeing each other. Listening to Lewis’ voice while seeing your loved ones again seems simply incredible. The artist has just shared this new music clip in his social media. ‘Singing my new song ‘Wish You the Best’ at the arrivals gate at London Heathrow. Tag someone you miss!’ he wrote on his Instagram account.
Lewis Capaldi delivered a second-half knockout as ‘Wish You The Best‘ debuted at No. 1 on the official U.K. singles chart. With his latest milestone, the Scottish singer and songwriter bags his fifth U.K. leader after ‘Someone You Loved‘ (2019), ‘Before You Go‘ (2019), ‘Forget Me‘ (2022) and ‘Pointless‘ (2023).
Capaldi now sits alongside iconic artists like David Bowie, Beyoncé, Cheryl, All Saints and the Bee Gees, among other artists with five U.K. chart-topping singles, according to Billboard.
‘Wish You The Best‘ has achieved a remarkable feat by claiming the top spot on the music charts. Initially trailing behind ‘Miracle‘ by Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding, and ‘Daylight’ by David Kushner, this single, which is featured on Capaldi’s upcoming album ‘Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent’, made an impressive comeback to secure the number one position.
