Something quite 'bacano' is about to happen

Leonardo Rodríguez Pastrana Caldarola is only 9 years old, but he already has an extensive artistic body of work. He is dedicated to painting and has caught the attention of Sebastián Yatra, who didn’t hesitate to reach out to him with a challenge.

After learning that he was getting ready for school, a place he admitted he hadn’t set foot in for a long time, the singer offered him a collaboration, which he happily accepted.

«He’s going to paint the cover of my upcoming single!! 💛🔥💛🎨 There’s some really cool music coming in the next few weeks, first a collaboration with a very talented friend (let’s see if you can guess who) and then this… 🤐🔊💡🍁,» announced the Colombian artist on social media.

His colorful universe has caught Yatra’s attention, as he has been turning each of his covers into works of art lately. The cover for «Vagabundo» was signed by the Colombian artist Nats Garu, and «Una noche sin pensar» was the work of Marta de la Fuente.

A Painting Prodigy

Now, a child is taking the reins. At the age of just four, he painted his first picture, and many already consider him the heir to Jean-Michael Basquiat. Last year, they enlisted him to create the commemorative painting for the 20th anniversary of the Mutua Madrid Open.

His exhibitions travel the world, and his works sell out. Art runs in the family, as he is the son of Italian model, writer, and influencer Laura Caldarola and architect José Rodríguez-Pastrana. In fact, mother and son have already co-authored some books, with her providing the text and him the illustrations.

For now, we’ve seen him in front of a blank canvas drawing some yellow lines. «So cool!!! 🚀♥️,» commented the proud mother.

We’re eager to see the result, but what’s clear is that it won’t leave anyone indifferent. Speculations about the title of the song are multiplying, with some already guessing it could be quite «bacano.»

Sebastián Yatra has no intention of slowing down, whether he’s playing tennis with Carlos Alcaraz, vacationing with Spanish singer Aitana, or collaborating with other superstars as Manuel Turizo or Beéle; he’s always on fire.
