Lali Espósito has just released her latest and eponymous album ‘LALI‘, which includes popular singles we previously listened to during the last months like ‘Como tú‘, ‘Diva‘ or ‘N5‘. She has also taken the opportunity to drop the ‘Obsesión’ music video, directed by Lautaro Espósito, Niko Sedano and Lali herself.

Obsesión‘ is the story of a toxic relationship. Set in a dance studio in downtown Madrid, Lali tells a post breakup story in which the other person (in this case, her dance teacher, Argentinian actor Juan Minujín) insist to keep contact with her. Lali’s lyrics reflect the determination behind not letting that person back into her life under any circumstances. Her dance moves perfectly represent the anger that situation creates on her.

On her new album ‘LALI’

LALIcombines the sounds and aesthetic of the early 00’s, mixed with dance, electronic and pop rythms. It represents her musical development and her artistic evolution after a decade in the scene. «This album is named ‘LALI’ because we believe it embraces all my journey up to this album and the way people who have been with me for a long time see me. As Lali. Lali as a whole», she stated in one of the promo videos. Here we find a Lali that is not afraid to experience new rhythms, also talking about their most intimate feelings.

For the announcement of LALI’s release, she surprised her audience by activating a countdown on her Spotify profile, being the first Argentine artist to do so, and generating a great expectation among her fans.

It’s not the first time that Lali participates in the creative direction process of her music videos. The Argentinian diva has a strong personality that is clearly seen in her work and she leaves her mark in every detail. She has previously released several videos where it can be seen the Behind the Scenes process of singles like ‘N5’, ‘Como tú’, ‘Diva’ or the catchy ‘Comprame un Brishito’, among others.
