Kourtney Kardashian Barker recently opened up about a frightening incident that occurred during her hospitalization due to a pregnancy-related health concern.

Kourtney, aged 44, and her husband, Travis Barker, the drummer of Blink-182, aged 47, who announced in June that they are expecting a baby boy, both took to social media on Wednesday (September 6) to address a recent ‘medical emergency’ that has since been confirmed as a pregnancy complication.

A few days earlier, Blink-182 had to reschedule four shows during their European tour due to Barker’s sudden return to the United States, citing ‘an urgent family matter’ as the reason. Fans began speculating that this family emergency might be connected to Kourtney’s pregnancy. And they were right.

Due to an urgent family matter, Travis has had to return home to the States. The Glasgow, Belfast, and Dublin shows are being postponed. More information in regards to his return to Europe and rescheduled dates will be provided as soon as available” the band shared.

Kourtney posted a black-and-white photo on Instagram, showing her hand with a hospital bracelet while she held her husband’s tattooed hand. In the caption, the expectant mother expressed her gratitude to the doctors for saving their baby’s life. She also shared some of her past pregnancies experiences in the caption.

As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.”

Travis also shared his thoughts.

Kourtney concluded in her Wednesday post: “Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing.”
