Kali Uchis, just a few months ago, unveiled her third studio album, Red Moon in Venus. This project featured 15 tracks filled with psychedelic synthesizers and Latin influences from the world of Latin pop. In this album, the singer portrayed the journey of falling in love, ultimately leading to its breaking point. Now, shortly thereafter, Uchis is preparing us for her upcoming album.

Uchis offered a glimpse into her upcoming musical phase through a brief video clip shared on her social media platforms. In the clip, we can spot an old television screen initially displaying the text ‘Kali Uchis Album 4.’ Set against a dark backdrop adorned with vegetation, flowers, and pink-ish orchids, the music’s hypnotic synthesizers and Uchis’s ethereal voice invite us into her world. We then see Uchis’s hand with the remote control, switching the language to Spanish, and finally unveiling the album’s title: ‘Orquídeas.’ As the clip concludes, we catch a glimpse of her sitting against the same backdrop, without a smile, bidding farewell to the teaser.

Nevertheless, despite the relatively short gap between her albums, Uchis announced in early 2022 that her third album and the subsequent fourth one were already finished, one in English and the other in Spanish. Later on, she posed the question, ‘¿What my kuchis want first?’ Given this statement, it’s not difficult to speculate that Orquídeas is the next album that the Colombian artist hinted at. Unfortunately, the singer has not shared more details, leaving both the tracklist and its release date still in the dark.

Muñequita

With a ‘Brrr… Gatita’ Kali Uchis, presented on July, her latest collab song «Muñekita,» featuring El Alfa and JT. In Spanish, ‘muñeca‘ means ‘doll,’ and ‘muñequita‘ is the diminutive form, which translates to ‘little doll.’ However, the phrase is often used to express affection and sometimes carries a flirtatious intention. This song is a bit different from her greatest 2020 hit ‘Telepatía,’ but it surely teased fans for more of “Gata, gata, dale muñekita…”
