They represent two big names leading the reggaeton boom worldwide

The Puerto Rican hitmaker Jhayco (formerly known as Jhay Cortez) has just released ‘Mami chula’ with Spanish young chart-topper Quevedo, which will surely be one of the songs that will accompany us at summer night parties!

In this new music video, directed by Death of Gian, we can see Jhayco and Quevedo giving their all at a party with friends, looking stunning in their Balenciaga and Ernest Baker outfits.

They both trade romantic verses about their girl crush, who they call ‘mami chula’. In fact, it’s the best song to dedicate to that person you are thinking about when you are getting nostalgic at the club!

Leading the Reggaeton Boom

Jhay Cortez began composing songs when he was just 15 years old and now he is one of the big music sensations in the urban scene worldwide.

We recently saw him lighting the scene at Bad Bunny’s concert in Coachella, singing top collabs like ‘Dakiti’ (which previously got to the #1 posición in the 2000 Global Billboard chart) and ‘Tarot’. They also danced to the rhythm of ‘No me conoce’ (actually, Quevedo commemorates this last hit sampling it in one of the verses of ‘Mami Chula‘. A kind of detail that has become a personal brand of the Spaniard).

Jhayco is one of the pioneers and present leaders of the new generation of Latin artists, with more than 16,000 million streams on streaming platforms. He, like his fellow stars J. Balvin and Bad Bunny, has greatly contributed to take the reggaeton to another level, blanketing the charts worldwide.

On his part, Quevedo is one of the main names in the urban scene at the present. The artist from the Canary Islands began his career in 2020, first gaining international relevance with ‘Ahora y siempre’, which reached the #19 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50 playlist, and his participation in ‘Cayó La Noche Remix’.

He explosively rose to fame after releasing the BZRP Music Sessions Vol. 52 with star producer Bizarrap, a summer hit that broke the Internet and surpassed 10 million views in less than a day after its drop. Quevedo even stands in the #13 in our Lista Los40 USA with ‘WANDA’.

Two incredible and talented artists that join in this hot collab that will boost your favorite playlists!
