Considered one of the most prominent female artists in the regional Mexican music scene, Jenni Rivera made her way into the Regional Mexican genre when it was predominantly dominated by men.

It’s been more than ten years since the heartbreaking plane crash ended the life of “La diva de la banda on December 9, 2012. The Learjet 25 in which the singer and 6 other people were traveling was heading to the Toluca airport in the state of Mexico. Tragically, just an hour and a half after takeoff, the aircraft plummeted in the Iturbide mountains in northern Mexico. This devastating incident occurred right after a concert at the Arena Monterrey.

Even now, Jenni’s presence lingers in the memories and hearts of countless fans who still deeply admire her. Her extraordinary spirit and remarkable talent continue to captivate and inspire, and her music and fearless attitude have served as a powerful reminder, specially to women, to chase their dreams, overcome obstacles, and embrace their authenticity.

Misión cumplida

The past June 30, «Misión cumplida» was released a band genre album with 16 unpublished songs, produced by the founder and leader of Banda MS, Sergio Lizárraga, and the producer and composer Pavel Ocampo.

The album is a heartfelt homage to her beginnings as a singer, beautifully capturing the distinct moments of her musical journey throughout her life. With every track, we immerse in the artist’s growth, passion, and steady dedication to the Mexican Regional music. The album cover also serves as a visual narrative that reflects the periods that shaped her career.

After discovering original recordings of previously unreleased music, Jenni’s five children (Chiquis Rivera, Jacqie Rivera, Michael Marín, Jenicka Lópe and Johnny López) have worked on the album to honor Jenni’s legacy.

From the very beginning, this project also became a powerful source of healing for them, helping them navigate the immense pain caused by the tragic loss of their mother. Through this musical process, they found solace, strength, and a way to keep Jenni’s vibrant spirit alive.

Es hermoso verlo crecer” said Jacquie for Billboard.

The album consists of 8 unpublished songs with the voice of Jenni and her daughters Chiquis and Jacqie Rivera.

Finally, Jacqie emphasized the deep impact that Jenni Rivera has made, not just through her music, but also as a mother who overcame adversity and became an icon.
