It’s been over a decade since Harrison Ford portrayed the famous Indiana Jones and it has been more than 40 years since the release of the very first movie, “Raiders of the Lost Ark”, premiered in 1981.
“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” is the newest film in the successful franchise, directed by James Mangold and a splendid cast, including Harrison Ford, Antonio Banderas, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, John Rhys-Davies, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renee Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones, Olivier Richters, Ethann Isidore, and Mads Mikkelsen.
This is the first time we see Harrison Ford wearing the distinguished hat and wielding the bullwhip to play the legendary character since “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”.
Professor Indiana Jones is nearing retirement and struggles to adapt to a world that no longer seems to need him as much. However, when his old rival Jürgen Voller appears, seeking to obtain an ancient and powerful artifact, Indiana must don his hat and wield his whip once more to ensure that the object doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.

The character of Indiana Jones has been loved for many generations because he’s, above all, portrayed as a human being. As said in the Lucasfilm official site, he’s not fearless, and that’s exactly what makes him a truly courageous hero. He faces his fears head-on instead of running away from them. He’s not a superhero with some secret trick up his sleeve and his triumphs don’t come from any special power. Instead, he manages to overcome the challenges in his way by never giving up.
Gaby Cam from LOS40 and De Película, interviewed Harrison Ford and the director of the acclaimed saga, James Mangold. In it, they provide a beautiful reflection not only on the movie itself but also on life, the passage of time, age, and the relationships we have with others. The actor confessed to having learned a lot about himself throughout the course of the films and how he relates his character and situation to the current moment in his life.
I’ve had the chance to grow out of my youthful ignorance and learn not just from the people I’ve worked with, but also from life itself, about how to behave.»
