Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release in 2025 with a specific date yet to be announced on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and it’s already one of the most eagerly awaited games worldwide. According to Sam Houser, the founder of Rockstar Games, “Grand Theft Auto VI continues our efforts to push the limits of what’s possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences. We’re thrilled to be able to share this new vision with players everywhere.”

In this new installment, players will be taken to the state of Leonida, known for its vibrant streets in Vice City. This game represents the most significant and immersive evolution in the series, serving as a grand celebration of the studio’s 25th anniversary. Rockstar Games is renowned for delivering iconic titles such as Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto IV, and Grand Theft Auto V.

The unveiling of the game’s first trailer provides an exciting glimpse into this action-adventure game, as Rockstar Games aims to compete with the industry’s titans that have dominated the realm of online gaming. Since 2017, a plethora of rumors, alleged images, posters, maps, character details, screenshots, and even hacks have surfaced, offering tantalizing hints about Rockstar Games’ ongoing project. 

One notable revelation from the trailer is the introduction of a new female protagonist, marking a significant departure from the franchise’s predominantly male-oriented characters, and signaling a fresh aesthetic approach. Also, while watching the trailer, it’s impossible to overlook the influence of recent viral trends that have swept through the United States.
