Eurovision season is here! Europe’s biggest song competition will culminate next weekend in Liverpool with a grand finale, where we will know the 2023 song contest winner. During this week we had two rounds of live semifinals (on Tuesday and Thursday May 8 and 11), so we already know which are the countries that we’ll see performing in the big night coming next Saturday, May 13.
The best part is that, for the first time in history, Eurovision has announced that non participating countries like the USA will be able to vote.
So, if you want to participate in this year’s voting, in Los40 USA we tell you everything you should know about this edition!
The bookmaker’s prediction places Sweden’s candidate, Loreen with her song ‘Tattoo’, as the winner of Eurovision 2023, with 47% of winning chance. The 67th edition of Eurovision started on Tuesday May 8, in the first semi-final. After a very emotive tribute to Ukraine, last year’s winner, 15 national candidates competed this year on the stage. In addition, Rita Ora delivered a very commented performance of her songs ‘Praising You’ and ‘Medley’, becoming one of the main protagonists.
The expectation was present throughout all the night, and this is the first group of countries that passed to the final:
However, Malta, the Netherlands, Latvia, Ireland and Azerbaijan have been left out of the competition.

The second semi-final of the contest took place this Thursday, May 11. In it, in addition to the group known as the Big Five group (Spain, Germany, United Kingdom, France and Italy, which as always has qualified for the semifinal without having to fight for their place), in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest will also be the following countries:
This year we will have a stellar line up for the event’s presentation. Graham Norton will host Eurovision Grand Finale. But he won’t be alone: Emmy Award-winning actress Hannah Waddingham and singers Alesha Dixon and Julia Sanina will join him on stage.
Eurovision will be streamed exclusively on Peacock with comments of Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir.
Viewers in all countries will be able to vote through the official Eurovision app or directly in the official voting hub for the Eurovision Song Contest. People watching in the participating countries can vote by telephone or SMS.
